Join the Texas A&M School of Public Health as a Program Coordinator I! In this role, you'll work collaboratively with the Office of Student Services (OSS) leadership to plan, develop, and implement exciting programs related to event planning, focusing on retention and recruitment activities for both graduate and undergraduate students. You'll oversee alumni relations events, maintain up-to-date contact information for Former Students, and be the primary point of contact for School of Public Health (SPH) alumni. Additionally, you'll lead efforts in student retention planning and work with the recruiting team to organize events centered on student recruitment. Opportunities to Contribute
+ Program Coordination: Assist in goal setting and strategic planning for retention programming and alumni affairs, collaborating with the Associate Dean and recruitment team to develop new and expanded student recruitment and retention programs. Plan, implement, and evaluate these programs while helping to establish related goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
+ Alumni Relations: Coordinate Alumni Relations for the School, collaborate with Departments to maintain an updated database of Former Students, and assist in identifying potential donors.
+ Recruitment: Support local recruitment efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Two years of related experience in event planning, alumni affairs, or similar programming
The well-qualified candidate will also possess
+ Event planning experience
+ Alumni affairs experience
+ Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications such as Excel, Quickbase, Word and the Microsoft Suite
+ Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to work independently and prioritize assigned duties
