Job Summary and Qualifications
Seeking a Occupational Medicine Care Coordinator like you who provides expertise and to be a champion of patient care. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.
As an Occupational Medicine Care Coordinator, you will:
Coordinate Patient Care – Ensure high-quality, customer-focused healthcare services for occupational medicine patients.
+ Manage Workers’ Compensation Referrals – Align clinics, providers, and third parties to facilitate timely referrals and document in EMR.
+ Employer & Client Support – Serve as the primary contact for employers, providing updates on injured workers, drug screen results, and return-to-work statuses.
+ EMR & Documentation Management – Maintain accurate employer protocols, billing information, and regulatory work status forms.
+ Communication & Relationship Building – Work closely with employers, insurance adjusters, and case managers to ensure seamless care coordination.
+ Billing & Compliance Oversight – Audit charges, review work status reports, and ensure accurate billing documentation.
+ Appointment Coordination – Engage with patients and employers on scheduling, appointment reminders, and missed visit follow-ups.
+ Administrative & Office Support – Handle routine office tasks such as copying, faxing, scanning, and filing while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality.
+ Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement – Participate in staff meetings, operational improvements, and compliance training.
+ This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced healthcare setting, enjoy building relationships with employers and patients, and are detail-oriented in managing healthcare documentation and compliance.
You Should Have:
+ High School diploma or equivalent is required
+ Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred
+ 1+ year of experience in a Occupational Medicine background or related business experience required
+ Experience using an EHR or EMR system is preferred
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs/strong computer skills needed
