    Overview

     

    To plan, manage and direct the activities of the Credit Data Governance Program. Ensure data integrity for all trade lines across multiple systems of records. Collaborate across the enterprise to design, administer, and maintain long-term systems and/or process solutions that support accuracy in credit data furnishing. Serve as subject matter expert regarding business functions, systems, policies and/or procedures. Manage daily activities of professional employees and/or supervisors. Support executive management in developing and executing strategic plans.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop branch strategy, establish priorities and set goals; evaluate and implement standards to ensure alignment with department/organizational objectives

    + Manage and direct operations to ensure targets, service level agreements and corporate objectives are met

    + Ensure monthly credit bureau data reports are extracted and transmitted timely and accurately to credit reporting agencies

    + Mitigate enterprise legal and regulatory risks related to the Fair Credit Reporting Act

    + Respond to and analyze complaints e.g., CFPB, Legal, BBB, and Letters to the President, associated with credit bureau reporting; identify root causes to ensure resolution

    + Establish processes and controls to ensure oversight, maintenance, documentation, and changes/updates to the program

    + Perform quality control audits to ensure adherence to applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and NFCU policies and procedures

    + Partner with senior management to ensure internal/external regulatory exam preparedness

    + Develop and maintain efficient and effective analytical/reporting processes and tools

    + Maintain thorough knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and NFCU policies and procedures

    + Oversee the completion, evaluation, and submission of reports to senior management

    + Develop relationships with key technical/non-technical stakeholders to gain concurrence, input, execution and change management decisions

    + Partner with Lending business units, support areas (Operational Risk, Analytics) and other major stakeholders (Office of General Counsel, Compliance) to implement and maintain program

    + Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant industry standards, best practices, business processes and technology

    + Develop, document and maintain reporting and feedback mechanisms to identify areas in need of revised procedural controls and documentation

    + Coordinate integration of processes, procedures and key controls across business lines

    + Develop and implement new/updated policies, procedures, goals and priorities as necessitated by demands, changing conditions, and/or management request

    + Serve as liaison to internal/external auditors; review and implement recommended/approved procedural changes

    + Monitor key performance indicators, determine gaps in performance metrics, and recommend/execute change management techniques for improvements

    + Provide overall leadership to large strategic projects and/or programs; ensure effective management of projects from inception through implementation

    + Identify risk exposure and remediation of non-compliance to standards

    + Assist other business units with developing organizational capabilities to achieve program goals

    + Serve on teams and task groups for projects/initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organization

    + Apply operational risk disciplines to identify, assess, mitigate and remediate risks to ensure compliance

    + Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    + Advanced knowledge of banking/financial industry trends, products and services

    + Expert knowledge of applicable federal and state, laws, rules and regulations

    + Extensive progressively responsible experience leading and managing a credit reporting operation, preferably in a large financial institution

    + Extensive experience in the utilization of databases, reporting and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Data Arc 360, OBIEE, Tableau, etc.)

    + Extensive experience demonstrating thought-leadership, initiative-taking, decision-making and creativity solving business problems

    + Extensive experience working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendors

    + Advanced knowledge of process mapping/modeling and business process reengineering

    + Extensive experience that demonstrates the ability to research, compile, and document data, business processes, and workflows

    + Extensive experience managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals

    + Advanced knowledge of data querying, reporting, forecasting, analysis and operations research, including statistical methods and modeling

    + Extensive experience supervising and leading employees

    + Extensive experience working effectively with diverse internal and external contacts

    + Expert skill using innovative thinking to solve problems and facilitate the decision-making

    + Expert skill building effective relationships through rapport, trust, diplomacy and tact

    + Expert skill in project management to include establishing and leading project teams; managing timelines/deadlines/resources; ensuring successful project implementation

    + Expert skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions

    + Expert research, analytical, and problem solving skills

    + Expert organizational, planning and time management skills

    + Expert skill in the analysis of technical issues in order to recommend, develop and/or implement strategies and achieve objectives

    + Expert analytical thinking skills to include summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, patterns, results or relationships

    + Expert verbal and written communication skills

    + Expert database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software skills

    + Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

     

    Desired Qualification(s)

     

    + Advanced knowledge of NFCU's policies, procedures, products, and services

    + Project Management Professional, and/or Lean Six Sigma Certification

    + Business Process Improvement/Reengineering Practitioner, and/or Business Process Professional Certification

     

    Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
