    We are seeking aCharge Nurse (RN)in ourTelemetry Unitat Providence Medical Center!

     

    Shift’s Available: Day Shift

     

    Employment Type:Part-Time

     

    Hours:7:00am-7:00pm (12-hour shifts)

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

    + When in charge:

    + Collaborates and assists the Director on assigned unit on issues of age-specific, clinical practice unit operations, human resource management and regulatory requirement.

    + Serves as a resource to staff in area of expertise;

    + Serves as a role model and provides positive influence to facilitate change, managing interpersonal concerns through chain of command in a professional manner.

    + Does not use unacceptable abbreviations in documentation, (using read back on all telephone orders).

    + Consistently follows medication reconciliation policy.

    + Ensures Crash Cart, defibrillation function have been checked per protocol and after each code, appropriate items are immediately replaced and indicated by signature on crash cart checklist.

    + Is in compliance with information contained in Infection Manual (i.e. OSHA blood borne pathogen standards, CDC Guideline), and demonstrates appropriate use of personal protective equipment (i.e., gloves, masks, goggles) and hand washing techniques.

    + Able to give thorough, detailed efficient change of shift report to ensure consistency in the plan of care.

    Qualifications

    Education and Work Experience

     

    + Current and valid state RN License

    + Current BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintained current.

    + Current ACLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintained current.

    + Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
