About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Financial Advice and Planning Technology team to modernize our applications, specifically Investment Goals and Financial Life Sync. You will design, develop, and deliver key business applications and services, leveraging your technical skills in Java and microservice architecture. In this role, you will:
+ Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
+ Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
+ Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
+ Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
+ Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
+ Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
+ Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
+ Monitor and troubleshoot systems using tools like Splunk and AppDynamics
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive DevOps and development activities
Required Qualifications:
+ 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
+ 4+ years of experience in Java, Python, or similar languages
+ 4+ years of experience with REST APIs and Spring Boot development
+ 4+ years of experience with CI/CD tools and test automation
+ 4+ years of experience designing and scaling infrastructure in high-traffic environments
+ 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as OpenShift
+ 2+ years of experience with database technologies like MongoDB or Oracle database
+ 2+ years of experience with Kafka and batch job processing
Desired Qualifications:
+ 2+ years of experience with monitoring tools like Splunk and AppDynamics
+ 2+ years of experience in creating automated integration test cases using Playwright, Cucumber, Selenium, Apache Karate, Web Driver etc.
+ 1+ years of experience working in an Agile principles and Scrum environment
+ 2+ years of experience with SDLC tools (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Harness).
+ 2+ years of experience triaging complex technical support issues, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning
+ Knowledge or desire to learn GenAI tools like GitHub Copilot to enhance productivity
