Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking candidates for the position of **Staff Configuration Analyst** to support Advanced Technology development programs. This position is on site in **Linthicum Heights, or Annapolis Junction, MD.**
Roles and Responsibilities:
+ Develop and administer configuration management activities related to planning, identification, change management, status accounting, and verification and audit
+ Analyze proposed changes to design documentation of various degrees of complexity to determine effect on overall product and system
+ Independently manage modification records (e.g., Change Request, Change Notice, Variance, etc.) to prepare for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor
+ Manage Configuration Review/Control Board (CRB/CCB) meetings and disseminate agendas and minutes in accordance with a program’s CM Plan
+ Interface with program management, team members, and internal customer while keeping track of documents and action items
+ Planning meeting agendas, conducting meetings, and recording meeting minutes, controlling technical baselines, and tracking configuration status
+ Developing solutions to a variety of complex problems, must be able to perform research and determine the best option from a variety of options without manager guidance
+ Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinate changes with engineering, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities
+ Support overall program configuration and data management requirements
This position is contingent upon acquiring and maintaining the necessary US Government security clearance per customers' requirements.
This position will serve on-site in one of these area locations: Linthicum Heights or Annapolis Junction, MD.
Basic Qualifications for Staff Configuration Analyst:
+ Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience or a PhD with 8+ years of experience
+ Demonstrated knowledge of CM principles, concepts, practices, and standards
+ Significant experience reviewing engineering documentation
+ Must be able to apply principles of a Configuration Management Plan (CMP) and provide solutions to problems of unusual complexity that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness
+ Must have the ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities in support of program milestones
+ Solid written and verbal skills to effectively interact with internal customers and external subcontractors
+ This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. Citizen
+ Ability to obtain and maintain the necessary US Government security clearance per customers’ requirements prior to start
Preferred Qualification for Staff Configuration Analyst:
+ Advance degree in STEM field
+ 10+ years of experience with configuration analysis
+ Experience, participated, and hosted a program’s CRB/CCB
+ Strong understanding of hardware and manufacturing configuration management
+ Experience working in a configuration management product life cycle system
+ Significant experience reviewing engineering documentation
+ Active US Government security clearance per customers’ requirements
Salary Range: $134,900.00 - $212,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
