Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Miami, Florida, within the dynamic retail industry. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers the opportunity to oversee key accounting operations, including financial reporting, tax management, and intercompany transactions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in technical accounting, familiarity with major ERP systems, and experience working with mid-sized companies.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Perform extensive General Ledger (GL) activities, including reconciliations and adjustments.

• Prepare and manage sales and use tax filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Generate detailed financial reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.

• Utilize NetSuite or similar ERP systems to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

• Research and apply ASC 842 technical accounting standards as required.

• Handle intercompany transactions, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial audits and reporting requirements.

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff to foster growth and maintain high performance.

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Extensive experience with General Ledger (GL) accounting and financial reporting.

• Strong knowledge of sales and use tax regulations.

• Proficiency in using NetSuite or other major ERP systems.

• Familiarity with ASC 842 technical accounting standards.

• Previous experience managing intercompany transactions.

• Background in working with companies generating $100M-$300M in revenue.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
