Description $27/hour | contract-to-permanent | 100% On-Site We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting functions and assist with federal grant reporting and compliance. This is a 100% in-office role located in Downtown Memphis, offering a great opportunity for long-term growth with the potential to convert to a permanent position. Key Responsibilities: Perform general accounting duties including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close support Assist with tracking and reporting of federal grant activity and ensuring compliance with grant guidelines Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed Maintain organized financial records and documentation Collaborate with internal teams and external partners as needed Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

• Proficiency in accounting software, including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.

• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and journal entries.

• Expertise in month-end closing processes and financial reporting.

• Ability to manage compliance with federal grant guidelines.

• Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate financial records.

• Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
