Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client's growing team in Memphis, TN. In this role, you will be responsible for managing vendor invoices, ensuring accurate payment processing, and maintaining proper documentation to support internal controls and audit requirements. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to collaborate with internal departments and external vendors while contributing to the smooth operation of our financial systems.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter vendor invoices into the accounts payable system while ensuring all required backup documentation is provided.

• Organize and maintain digital records of invoices and supporting documentation to facilitate audits and track processing volumes.

• Validate expense invoices for proper approval and correct General Ledger coding by referencing company policies and authorization matrices.

• Assist with month-end accruals by identifying expenses received but not yet paid and providing relevant documentation to the accounting team.

• Monitor vendor statements to ensure invoices are received and paid according to the agreed terms.

• Communicate professionally with internal departments and external vendors to resolve inquiries and ensure smooth operations.

• Generate reports to track invoice processing metrics and highlight potential delays in vendor payments.

• Support management by performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related financial roles.

• Proficiency in invoice processing, data entry, and coding invoices accurately.

• Familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.

• Ability to reconcile accounts, manage check runs, and ensure compliance with payment terms.

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.

• High attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records.

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and internal control procedures.
