Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Burlingame, California. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with company policies. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in accounting and a passion for streamlining processes.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper account coding and adherence to company policies.

• Manage accounts payable workflows using accounting software systems such as Concur.

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.

• Handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and other payment methods.

• Maintain accurate records of accrual accounting activities and prepare reports as needed.

• Collaborate with internal teams to improve efficiency in accounts payable processes.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

• Respond to vendor inquiries and provide excellent customer service.

• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline financial processes. Requirements • At least 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems, including Concur.

• Strong knowledge of account coding and accrual accounting principles.

• Familiarity with auditing practices and compliance standards.

• Experience handling Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies effectively.

• Strong communication skills for vendor and team collaboration.
