Description
A mid-size firm in Pasadena, CA, is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney for a contract role with a hybrid work schedule. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of legal experience (preferred) and must be barred in California.
Responsibilities include document review, case summaries, law & motion, and providing counsel on employment-related matters. You will collaborate with the firm's dynamic legal team in a flexible work environment to deliver high-quality resolutions for clients.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive discovery processes, including document review and analysis, to support employment litigation cases.
• Draft detailed case summaries and legal briefs that align with litigation strategies.
• Manage claim administration and complaint handling with accuracy and efficiency.
• Utilize case management software and document management tools for efficient workflow.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and execute litigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with California employment laws and regulations throughout all case proceedings.
• Handle civil litigation tasks, including filing claims and preparing legal documents.
• Proactively identify and address potential case issues to maintain smooth legal operations.
• Utilize Adobe Acrobat and other legal technologies to streamline document preparation and review.
• Maintain organized and detailed records of all case activities and communications.
Requirements
• Active membership with the California State Bar.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in employment law and litigation.
• Proficiency in civil litigation processes, including discovery and briefing.
• Strong familiarity with legal technologies such as Adobe Acrobat and case management software.
• Demonstrated ability to handle document review and drafting with attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple cases effectively.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of California employment laws and regulations.
