Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team in the Berlin, Connecticut area. This role requires a proactive individual who can efficiently manage administrative tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. The ideal candidate will support various programs and ensure seamless operations in document preparation, reporting, and correspondence. Maintain and organize physical and digital files, including resident records, lease agreements, applications, and compliance documents.
Implement and enforce document retention policies in line with local and federal housing regulations and ensure all records are up-to-date, accurate, and easily accessible for audits or inspections. If you are interested in this Administrative role apply today!
Responsibilities:
• Manage the intake process, ensuring eligibility and application documentation are reviewed and processed accurately.
• Perform clerical tasks such as printing documents for various programs, including state-funded initiatives and Section 8.
• Prepare annual filings and generate reports for multiple programs with a focus on compliance.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls to provide assistance and resolve inquiries in an attentive and precise manner.
• Maintain and organize confidential documents, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate meetings to support program operations.
• Create and edit documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Conduct data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all records.
• Respond to email correspondence promptly and effectively.
• Verify eligibility documentation and maintain records for program participants
Requirements
• Proven experience in administrative support or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to handle inbound and outbound calls.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage confidential documents and sensitive information responsibly.
• Competence in scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate records.
• Familiarity with eligibility verification processes and annual filings.
• Experience in customer service or clerical roles is highly desirable.
