Description

We are looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is a Contract to permanent position that offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment and support patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will excel in managing front office operations while ensuring seamless patient registration and electronic medical record maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and detail-oriented environment.

• Manage patient registration processes, including collecting and verifying insurance information.

• Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR) with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow-ups using EMR systems.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient office workflows and communication.

• Handle incoming calls, address inquiries, and route messages appropriately.

• Process billing-related tasks and assist with insurance claims as needed.

• Utilize EMR platforms such as Epic, athenahealth, and eClinicalWorks to support office operations.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare policies.

• Provide administrative support to other staff members to maintain smooth operations.

Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical front office or similar role.

• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems, including Epic, athenahealth, and eClinicalWorks.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Familiarity with patient registration processes and insurance verification.

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance standards.

• Organizational skills to maintain efficient office operations.
