Description

We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Clerk to join our team in Torrance, California, within the sports manufacturing industry. This is a long-term contract position offering an opportunity to work closely with the accounting department, providing essential support for accounts payable and receivable processes. The role is ideal for someone detail-oriented and eager to contribute to the financial operations of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and distribute invoices, credit memos, and account statements accurately and on time.

• Process incoming payments and organize them for bank deposits.

• Assist in recovering past-due balances by coordinating with customers and internal teams.

• Support the entry and documentation of accounts receivable transactions while maintaining updated comments on customer accounts.

• Maintain well-organized accounts payable and receivable files to ensure easy access and compliance.

• Handle daily credit card payments and orders, including processing player or Ad Staff accounts for marketing purposes.

• Collaborate with management on assigned tasks and special projects as needed.

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of financial data to support reporting and analysis needs.

Requirements • At least one year of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting is required.

• A college degree in accounting or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential.

• Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute is required.

• Strong numerical skills for analyzing and interpreting financial data.

• Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle challenging customer interactions professionally.

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
