Description

Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our client in East Liberty, Ohio. The Billing Clerk will be responsible for managing the preparation, issuance, and tracking of invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial document processing while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent attention to detail, and demonstrates exceptional organizational skills. This is a contract/temporary position lasting 2-6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and distribute invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner.

+ Verify invoice data, including transportation charges, fuel surcharges, and other billing components.

+ Work closely with internal departments, including accounting and logistics teams, to resolve discrepancies and ensure alignment of billing records.

+ Maintain and update customer accounts in the billing database, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

+ Process and reconcile Month to Date (MTD) revenue reports and other financial documentation.

+ Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and billing concerns promptly and professionally.

+ Assist in compiling financial data for audits and reporting purposes.

+ Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the billing supervisor or finance team.

Requirements

+ High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus.

+ 1-3 years of experience in a billing, accounts receivable, or similar financial roles (preferably in logistics or transportation).

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with billing software systems.

+ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with internal teams and external customers.

+ Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
