    Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HR Assistant to join our team at a South Dayton manufacturing company. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in human resources within a fast-paced industrial environment. The HR Assistant will provide administrative support to the HR team, handle employee inquiries, and assist in coordinating HR-related tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Assist with recruitment activities, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial applicant screenings (Source: US Demand for Skilled Talent Q1 2025.pdf).

    + Support onboarding efforts, including preparing new hire paperwork and coordinating orientation schedules.

    + Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR systems.

    + Address basic employee questions regarding company policies, benefits, and procedures, referring complex inquiries to senior HR staff as needed.

    + Help organize employee recognition programs and company events to promote morale.

    + Provide administrative support, such as preparing reports, maintaining files, and updating HR databases.

    + Ensure compliance with company policies and assist with auditing employee records.

    Requirements

    + Associate degree or relevant coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required).

    + Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    + Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

    + Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion.

    + Previous internship or office experience is a plus but not required.
