Senior Director of AI/ML Engineering, you will lead a high-performing team of engineers and data scientists, blending strategic vision with hands-on technical leadership. Working at the critical intersection of business needs and technological opportunities, you will prototype, iterate, scale, and deploy transformative AI solutions. What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Set Strategic AI/ML Direction
+ Shape the vision and roadmap for AI/ML initiatives, focusing on practical implementation and iterative experimentation.
+ Pinpoint key opportunities where AI can drive efficiency, precision, and automation.
From Concept to Scale
+ Lead the development of prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and lightweight solutions, transforming them into scalable, production-grade systems.
+ Design and oversee AI/ML architectures that seamlessly grow and adapt to enterprise-level needs.
Collaborate to Solve Business Challenges
+ Work closely with cross-functional partners, including product, operations, and business teams, to identify challenges and embed AI-driven solutions.
+ Leverage advanced methodologies like machine learning, generative AI, and NLP to translate business problems into innovative technical solutions.
Deliver Real-World AI Impact
+ Address complex business problems such as forecasting, optimization, automation, and personalized engagement through applied AI.
+ Promote data-centric thinking and operationalize intelligent systems across teams through collaborative demonstrations and strategic guidance.
Cultivate Team Excellence and Innovation
+ Build and lead a diverse team of engineers and data scientists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
+ Encourage creativity, experimentation, and continuous learning to inspire breakthroughs and innovation.
Requirements
+ Advanced degree (Master’s or higher) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a similar technical discipline.
+ 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering, applied machine learning, or advanced analytics roles.
+ Proficiency with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or MLFlow, and programming expertise in Python or comparable languages.
+ Demonstrated success in transitioning AI solutions from initial concept to production, particularly in fast-paced, iterative environments.
+ Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
+ Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Additional Preferred Experience:
+ PhD or significant research background in machine learning, natural language processing, or related AI fields.
+ Expertise with real-time processing systems, large-scale data operations, or multimodal AI applications integrating diverse data forms (e.g., text, images, time series).
+ Knowledge of end-to-end AI deployment practices, including DevOps or MLOps workflows.
+ History of innovative contributions, such as working in startups, receiving patents, contributing to open-source projects, or creatively applying AI in new ways.
