• Sr. Accountant

    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Columbia, SC)


    Description

    A local church is seeking a warm, detail-oriented Accountant to handle day-to-day financial operations and support the congregation with care and professionalism. This is a 25-hour/week position.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + General ledger review, bank reconciliations, and AP

    + Process cash/check donations and weekly deposits

    + Prepare and send contribution statements (twice per year)

    + Run Excel-based financial reports

    + Manage payroll and track member donations

    + Work closely with members—answering questions and offering support

    Requirements

    + Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience

    + Proficiency in Excel; experience with ACS Realm or similar church finance software a plus

    + Strong communication and people skills

    + Able to balance task focus with warm, respectful interaction

    + Accounting degree preferred
