    *Join Our Team as a Patient Access Representative!*

    *Location:* Northern Dutchess Hospital

    *Department:* Patient Access | Org Unit: 1022

    *Schedule:* Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday | 30 hours/week | 7.5-hour shifts between 3 PM–11 PM

    *Compensation:* $19 – $23/hour (based on experience)

    *Employment Type:* Part-Time | Non-Exempt

    *

     

    Be the friendly face that welcomes patients, staff, and visitors with professionalism and care

     

    *

     

    Assist with scheduling and check-in to ensure a *seamless patient experience*

     

    *

     

    Accurately collect and input *demographic, financial, and insurance information*

     

    *

     

    Confirm insurance eligibility and secure pre-authorizations when needed

     

    *

     

    Offer clear cost estimates and help patients understand and prepare for financial responsibilities

     

    *

     

    Collect payments and obtain necessary forms and consents with confidence and clarity

     

    *

     

    Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to keep everything running smoothly

     

    *

     

    Support patients with special needs and uphold confidentiality and compliance standards

     

    *

    Respond to phone inquiries with a helpful, solution-focused mindset

    As a *Patient Access Representative*, you’ll be at the heart of the patient journey—setting the tone for a positive experience while ensuring accuracy and efficiency behind the scenes. Your work helps make high-quality care possible from the very first interaction. *What You Bring:*

     

    *

     

    *High school diploma* (required)

     

    *

     

    *2 years of related experience* OR an *Associate degree with 6 months of experience* (preferred)

     

    *

     

    Customer service experience, especially in a healthcare setting

     

    *

     

    Knowledge of *medical insurance, scheduling systems*, and patient registration workflows

     

    *

     

    Basic computer skills, including *MS Word and Excel*

     

    *

    Clear communication, a team-player mindset, and a can-do attitude
