Basic Job Functions:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

+ Designing and implementing new systems and modifying existing equipment.

+ Utilizing AutoCAD & Inventor to create concept drawings, production drawings, fluid power schematics, and plant layouts.

+ Improving production and maintenance processes and maintaining accurate documentation for all activities.

+ Providing technical expertise regarding mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

+ Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including maintenance, operations, engineering, and IT to optimize plant performance.

+ Project Management: Lead and manage projects from conception through completion.

+ Performing other projects as assigned by the Engineering Supervisor and Engineering Manager.

+ Safety: Uphold and promote safety policies, practices, and procedures at all times.

Compensation Data

Starting Base Salary Range: $99,674-$115,378

ROA Bonus

ROA Bonus percentage is variable, determinate upon company performance each year, up to 33% of annual salary.

Profit-Sharing

10% of Nucors pre-tax earnings are contributed to the Profit Sharing Plan annually and distributed to all eligible teammates. A large portion is deposited into your profit-sharing account, and a smaller portion is distributed in cash. Current 6-year average = 19.88% of your eligible earnings. Eligible earnings include regular pay, overtime, and bonus.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Associate of Science degree (preferably in Engineering)

+ 1 year experience in manufacturing.

+ 1 year experience using AutoCAD and Inventor.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Bachelor of Science degree Mechanical Engineering/Engineering Technology/Engineering Applied Sciences.

+ 3+ year's experience in heavy industrial plant engineering, with design and/or construction experience and proven project management techniques. Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and construction practices.

+ Excellent verbal and/or written communication skills with all levels of personnel within the Company and outside vendors and suppliers.

+ Proven ability with Microsoft Office, Inventor and AutoCAD.

+ Ability to organize large projects and take the lead role of the projects design, procurement, construction, and start-up activities.
