Required Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Experience with IT customer support in a service-oriented organization
Experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows, iOS, macOS operating systems
Experience with JAMF, MECM, and GPO or similar
Experience managing trouble tickets in a ticket system
Experience with IT Service Management concepts such as Inventory Control, Configuration Management, and Change Management
Experience with installing and configuring a wide range of devices and peripherals such as printers, tablets, and Apple products
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or equivalent would be a plus

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) at Iowa State University is hiring an Information Technology Support II to provide hands-on support to faculty, staff, and students across a variety of departments. If you enjoy working in a collaborative environment, tackling a range of technical challenges, and making a direct impact on academic and research success, this is the role for you.
What You’ll Do:
+ Provide front-line technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, operating systems, and specialized equipment.
+ Respond to service requests, deploy and configure devices, install software, and run diagnostics for end-user support.
+ Maintain and update IT documentation and inventory records for supported departments and units.
+ Diagnose complex issues in collaboration with users and peers, escalating as necessary to senior staff or campus-wide IT services.
+ Participate in researching and recommending hardware and software purchases based on departmental needs.
+ Offer training or guidance to users and may mentor student employees who assist with technical support tasks.
+ Serve as the primary IT contact for assigned LAS departments, while offering backup support to fellow IT team members.
+ This position is part of the LAS IT support team, serving a diverse academic community and providing essential technology services to departments, labs, administration, and researchers within the college.

+ Residency Requirement: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
