Your Career
Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Sr Staff QA Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will develop and enhance advanced tools and platforms that ensure the long-term reliability and performance of our systems. You'll work cross-functionally to automate processes, analyze field data, and support real-time diagnostics and predictive capabilities, driving improvements in system resilience and customer satisfaction.
Your Impact
+ Conduct machine learning-based predictive failure analysis.
+ Design and implement real-time reliability and quality dashboards.
+ Develop automated test processes to validate system robustness and integrity.
+ Create reliability failure diagnostic tools for root cause analysis and proactive monitoring.
+ Build and maintain an automated, cloud-based FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) platform.
+ Support field data analysis to identify emerging issues and reliability trends.
+ Design and manage data pipelines for reliability and quality insights.
+ Assist in software FMEA activities and conduct fault insertion tests to evaluate system behavior.
+ Develop customized reliability profiles for key customer applications.
+ Support system fault management verification and perform alarm analysis.
+ Create field monitoring and reporting infrastructure for live reliability feedback.
+ Build a virtual failure analysis platform for remote diagnostics and simulation.
+ Develop and manage a FRU (Field Replaceable Unit) and component failure rate database.
Experience
+ Strong programming and scripting experience, including Python, Java, and JavaScript.
+ Demonstrated data analysis skills and ability to draw actionable insights from large datasets.
+ Proven experience with automation tools and testing frameworks.
+ Experience in reliability and automation architecture design.
+ Background in designing and developing new reliability-focused software applications.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
+ 5+ years in Device Platform / Embedded quality assurance for networking products as a data analyst
+ Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and scalable cloud-based applications.
+ Solid understanding of reliability engineering principles and FMEA methodology.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Our Manufacturing team has extensive business and project-management experience in the contract manufacturing industry. This team has a dedication to, and a consistent track record of, success in all aspects of supply-chain and project management.
Our Manufacturing team leadership establishes clear objectives, defining and implementing profit improvement and profiling inventory management, valuation, and lead-time improvement programs. Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected.
