Assistant Nurse Manager - Endoscopy Center

MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking an *Assistant Nurse Manager* to support our Endoscopy team. The ANM shoud have strong clinical experience, a passion for patient-centered care, and a collaborative approach to supporting nursing staff and unit goals.
The ideal candidate will have at least *three years of Endoscopy nursing experience or three years of **Leadership experience*, such as serving in a charge nurse or preceptor role.
*Shift:* Monday-Friday, Schedule Varies, and On-Call expectations for clinical questions/needs
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
* Participates in unit-based clinical care to support patient outcomes and team needs.
* Serves as a clinical resource and supports staff with patient care delivery.
Transformational Leadership & Exemplary Professional Practice
* Assists with nursing staff scheduling and resource planning based on patient acuity and staff competencies.
* Supports the integration of innovation and research into daily practice.
* Participates in or leads performance improvement projects focused on quality, safety, and patient outcomes.
* Coaches and mentors nursing staff to promote continuous learning and resource efficiency.
* Assists with onboarding, orientation, and professional development of nursing staff.
Empirical Outcomes
* Collaborates with the Nurse Manager and nursing team to address challenges and ensure alignment with unit and organizational goals.
* Helps track and improve patient care outcomes through direct support and problem-solving.
Other Duties as Assigned
*Education*
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
*Experience*
Three years of clinical nursing experience. Successful completion of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center New Graduate Nurse Residency Program can be substituted for two of the three required years of clinical nursing experience.
*Certification/Licensure*
Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Preferred: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification as required by patient care area. Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
