We are looking for a Senior Lead Accountant who excels in
technical accounting, financial reporting, and digital innovation! In this
role, you will be instrumental in managing financial and investment accounting
processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving efficiency
through automation and modern accounting tools!
How You’ll Make an Impact
+ Collaboratewith Project Development & Investment, Siemens Energy Ventures, andM&A teams to support Accounting and Controlling on key initiatives.
+ Analyzeand summarize financial and legal documents related to investments andacquisitions using digital platforms for efficient document management.
+ Preparemonthly, quarterly, and annual statutory financial reports for NorthAmerica, using automation to improve accuracy and reporting efficiency.
+ Liaisewith internal and external auditors to facilitate audits of centralizedactivities, ensuring well-organized, digital-first documentation.
+ Contributeto annual long-range planning, reporting, and valuation of cash-generatingunits using tools like Alteryx and Power BI.
+ Supportintegration of Wind Power with legacy Gas & Power operations andensure accounting systems align with Siemens Energy’s financial reportingstandards and IFRS.
What You Bring
+ Bachelor’sdegree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or Business Administration (orequivalent experience).
+ CPAdesignation (or CA, CMA, CGA) strongly preferred.
+ Minimumof 6+ years of progressive accounting experience; Big 4 or publicaccounting background is an asset.
+ Proventrack record to manage several priorities and meet deadlines in afast-paced environment, supported by excellent interpersonal skills and aproactive, self-starting approach.
+ Familiaritywith data analytics and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, andTableau, with a strong sense of ownership over projects and continuousoperational improvement
+ Applicants must be legally authorized foremployment in the United States without need for current or futureemployer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with currentvisa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
