Senior Full Stack Engineer

The **Senior Full Stack Engineer** role requires a seasoned professional with 8 to 12 years of experience in software development. The candidate will work from the office during day shifts focusing on designing developing and maintaining software applications using technologies such as SQL Server C# React JS SQL Azure JavaScript and .Net Framework. This role does not require travel.

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality software design and architecture using ASP.Net C# and Framework to meet business requirements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features using React JS and Javascript.

• Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications through rigorous testing and debugging.

• Implement cloud solutions using Azure to enhance application scalability and reliability.

• Maintain code quality organization and automation using best practices and modern development tools.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.

• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.

• Optimize application performance by analyzing and improving existing codebase.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster their growth and development.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Document software development processes and procedures for future reference and compliance.

• Contribute to the company’s mission by developing software solutions that enhance user experience and drive business growth.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate expertise in SQL Server and C# for developing robust backend solutions.

• Possess strong proficiency in React JS and Javascript for creating dynamic and responsive user interfaces.

• Have experience with Azure for deploying and managing cloud-based applications.

• Show proficiency in the .Net Framework for building scalable and efficient applications.

• Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in software development.

• Display excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Salary and compensation

The annual salary for this position will be between $68k - $114,500 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
