    Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking for a Senior Aveva OSI PI Engineer who could join our team of Engineering professionals in a permanent role.     About the role:

    We are looking for an Senior Aveva OSI PI Engineer to join our OSI team for a site-based project in New Jersey area. The Senior OSIsoft PI Software Engineer needs to have an in-depth experience of OSI Data Historian Systems, Control Systems and Process Analysis.

     

    The successful candidate should have an extensive background in Software Engineering with experience in systems analysis and software development within the pharmaceutical industry.

     

    They should be highly motivated, an innovative thinker and self-starter, with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills

    Responsibilities:

    + Review and analysis of User Requirements Specification Documents

    + Support development of the Detail Design specifications and system architectures

    + Development of PI Tags, Asset Framework (AF) templates and AF Analyses, PI Event Frames

    + Development of PI Graphic User Interface / Visuals

    + Support Software development, testing, commissioning and qualification

    + Ability to provide first line PI sustaining support

    + Support the execution of system changes and optimisation under site change control

    + PI Qualification Execution

    Job Functions

    + Solid understanding of the **Aveva /** **OSIsoft PI system**

    + Experience installing, configuring, validating, and tuning PI Server and interfaces (OPC, UFL, RDBMS, PItoPI).

    + Experience using the PI client tools including PI Vision, DataLink and PI RtReports

    + Experience implementing analytic solutions with PI Asset Framework, PI AF Analytics, and Performance Equations

    + Solid understanding of Windows OS, networking, and system security fundamentals

    + Analytical and troubleshooting skills and methodical approaches to solving difficult problems.

    + Strong MS Word and Excel skills

    + Team oriented, but self-sufficient

    + Excellent communication skills and client-facing rapport

    Non-essential Job Functions

    + Software development experience in .NET using disciplined coding and testing regiments.

    + Experience writing software applications and web services using PI-SDK and AF-SDK

    + Experience installing and configuring web-based applications.

    Requirements:

    + Familiarity with ISA 88 and GAMP

    + Minumim over 5+ years relevant industry PI experience

    + Pharma industry experience perferred

    + PI System Training

    + Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience

    Salary and Other Compensation:

    Applications will be accepted until June 11 2025.

     

    The annual salary for this position is between $ 60.325K -$ 126,000K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

     

    This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans
