    Overview

     

    Sunroc is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator!At Sunroc, we’re looking for a skilled estimator to join our team and help secure large-scale commercial excavation projects.     Things You’ll Do

     

    + Estimate and manage construction projects.

    + Mentor and train construction interns, project engineers, and field engineers.

    + Manage and review estimates.

    + Monitor employee training and certification.

    + Maintain recruiting, hiring, promotion, and corrective action.

    + Project, organize, and implement project budgets and work under contract.

    + Work to resolve procedures, complaints and construction issues.

    + Monitor and control project to ensure it is completed on schedule and within budget.

    + Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.

    + Formulate reports concerning work progress, costs, and scheduling.

    + Review, understand, and adhere to all union contracts.

    + Maintain insurable driving record.

    + Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or construction management.

    + Seven to 10 years of progressive estimating and project management.

    + Experience in management and road construction materials.

    + Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, and technical skills

    + Ability to review and analyze financial information

    + Strategic thinking skills

    + Knowledge of Viewpoint software, Primavera scheduling software, MicroStation and Inroads design software, Heavy Construction Systems Specialists (HCSS), Heavy Bid software and basic surveying and measuring equipment

    + Proficient Microsoft Office skills, superior in Excel

    + Ability to organize all aspects of the project and foresee and resolve project conflicts
