    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Provide push-in whole class social/emotional instruction.

    + Communicate information to students, parents, staff, community members; providing written support, developing recommendations and/or conveying information.

    + Counsel students, staff, parents/legal guardians for the purpose of evaluating situations, solving problems, resolving conflicts, referral to appropriate professionals and enhancing probability of student success in school.

    + Well-versed in crises intervention and de-escalation strategies.

    + Knowledge in data collection strategies to support social/emotional wellness and behavioral growth.

    + Other assignments as directed by supervisors.

    Job Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS:

    + Must hold valid New York State School Social Worker Certification

    + Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply

    EXPERIENCE:

    + Must be detailed-oriented

    + Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    + Must be flexible, adaptable and be able to manage multiple priorities
