Honeywell Aerospace a leading defense subcontractor, is seeking a skilled and security-conscious System Administrator to join our team in Glendale, AZ. This role supports a Restricted Business (RB) program by providing onsite system administration, IT infrastructure management, and end-user support.
The successful candidate will ensure compliance with the Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 and Department of Defense (DoD) security standards while collaborating with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) across the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Risk Management Framework (RMF), and ongoing operations and maintenance.
This is a mission-critical position requiring a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safeguarding classified information. **All duties must be performed Onsite at our Glendale, AZ facility.**

**Key Responsibilities** :
+ Design, deploy, and configure secure IT systems, networks and workstations in accordance with ICD 705 and RB requirements.
+ Establish and maintain baseline configurations for hardware, software, and network components.
+ Implement and validate RMF security controls and system hardening measures.
+ Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to RB personnel, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
+ Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls, ensuring compliance with RB security policies.
+ Create and deliver training or documentation to enhance end-user efficiency and security awareness.
+ Partner with the ISSM and ISSOs to integrate security into the SDLC and RMF processes, supporting Authorization to Operate (ATO) efforts.
+ Report and respond to security incidents or anomalies in coordination with the security team.
+ Perform routine system maintenance, including patch management, updates, and secure backups, per ICD 705 and RB guidelines.
+ Monitor system performance and security logs, proactively addressing issues to maintain operational integrity.
+ Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
+ Ensure all activities adhere to ICD 705, DoD policies, and RB-specific directives.
+ Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of classified and sensitive data.
+ Respond to evolving security requirements and support incident mitigation as needed. Maintain information systems compliance.
Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
You Must Have
+ **Top Secret clearance**
+ **DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 minimum compliant certification**
+ At least 5 years of windows system administration experience.
+ At least 2 years supporting restricted business (RB) programs and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
+ Proficiency in managing Microsoft Exchange.
+ Proficiency in configuring and managing secure Windows and/or Linux environments.
+ Experience with network administration, security tools (e.g., ACAS, STIGs, Splunk) and system hardening.
+ **Ability to work 100% onsite in Glendale, AZ with flexibility for mission-critical needs outside standard hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST).**

+ Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
+ Top Secret with CI polygraph
+ DoD 8570 IAT Level 3 compliant certification
+ Prior work with ICD 705 standards or in a defense contracting environment.
+ Moderate capabilities with RHEL Linux System Administration, high level Windows System Administration – Server 2016/22 Windows 10 & 11.
+ Experience with installation of engineering and simulation tools.
+ Familiarity with multi-factor authentication (MFA).
+ Familiarity with virtualization (e.g., VMware), scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) or configuration management tools.
+ Must work onsite at a secure facility in Glendale, AZ.
+ Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (e.g., for hardware setup) and sit/stand for extended periods.
+ Comfortable working in a high-security environment with strict access controls and protocols
