    From your PASSION to ours

     

    This role is responsible for supporting plant production initiatives through equipment layout planning, process optimization, and project execution. The position will work cross-functionally to improve operations and enable facility upgrades in alignment with safety, quality, and efficiency goals. This is a PAID internship for the summer!

     

    From your EXPERTISE to ours

    Key responsibilities for this position include:

    • Lead or assist in the collection and analysis of equipment specifications, capacities, and layouts to support operational improvements.

    • Evaluate and propose equipment relocation or reconfiguration plans to accommodate facility changes or new technology implementation.

    • Collaborate with plant teams to review and validate proposed layouts and process improvements.

    • Develop scope of work documents, equipment specification sheets, and procurement needs for new or relocated machinery (e.g., processing equipment, packaging lines, conveying systems, quality control devices, etc.).

    • Identify and implement best practices in production, safety, and efficiency across all plant operations.

    • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the facility.

    • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment at all times.

    • Perform other duties as assigned by management in support of plant operations and long-term business needs.

    Education

    • Ideal candidate will be in pursit of a Bachelors or Master's Degree. Engineering focus favored.

    Experience

    • Ideal candidate will have the following traits: open-mindedness, capacity or understand/analyze data and make fact-based recommendations, creativity, productivity, strong organizational skills and ability to work independently as well as in teams.

    • Some practical experience through educational projects, prior internships, or professional experiences desired.

    Skills/Abilities

    • Strong analytical skills: need to be proficient in Excel and analysis in general.

    • Concern for accuracy- must be very detail oriented.

    • Open-minded, capacity to understand/analyze/ react.
