Chargebacks Specialist

Job Description

As a Credit and Collections chargebacks Specialist, you will manage, research, and resolve credit card disputes and chargeback cases. You will monitor outstanding debts and work closely with a collection agency to facilitate payments. Your role will include serving as a liaison between credit card companies, concessionaires, and internal departments, ensuring effective case resolutions while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

+ Manage, analyze, and resolve disputes and chargeback cases for various credit card types.

+ Compose response letters in accordance with Credit Card Association guidelines and company policies.

+ Oversee all outstanding bills, promissory notes, and payments.

+ Facilitate and track payment processes from both internal and third-party sources.

+ Maintain and update the Direct Promissory Notes with new additions and payments.

+ Follow up with credit card companies on cases and monitor their outcomes.

+ Keep a low record of lost cases and maintain up-to-date dispute/chargeback logs.

+ Prepare schedules and analyses for credit card transactions.

+ Act as a liaison between credit card companies, the collection agency, and internal departments.

+ Collect funds due with excellent customer service to uphold the company's image.

+ Review and maintain collection agency files monthly.

+ Perform other accounting operations duties as required by management.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in collections, accounts receivable, and invoicing.

+ Proficiency in credit card collections and customer service.

+ Skills in chargeback management and credit analysis.

+ Experience with aging reports and collection calls.

+ Accounting and reconciliation expertise.

+ Cash application knowledge.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

+ Experience making outbound calls.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Associate's Degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred.

+ Minimum two years of experience in accounting operations, customer service, hospitality, or claims resolution.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
