    We are seeking a dedicated Billing Specialist to prepare and issue accurate invoices to clients based on project milestones and contract terms. You will be responsible for reviewing and verifying billing data, including project costs, time sheets, and expense reports, while monitoring accounts receivable and following up on outstanding invoices. Additionally, you will resolve billing discrepancies and respond to client inquiries promptly, collaborating with project managers and other departments to ensure accurate and timely billing.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare and issue accurate invoices to clients based on project milestones and contract terms.

    + Review and verify billing data, including project costs, time sheets, and expense reports.

    + Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices.

    + Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to client inquiries in a timely manner.

    + Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure accurate and timely billing.

    + Maintain and update billing records and client information in the accounting system.

    + Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.

    + Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

    + Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 2 years billing experience.

    + Minimum of 2 years experience creating invoices and understanding accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) perspectives.

    + 1 year of experience with change orders.

    + Microsoft Dynamics experience.

    + Strong understanding of billing processes and accounting principles.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience as a Billing Specialist or in a similar role, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.

    + Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Work Environment

    This role offers a 100% remote work environment, providing flexibility and convenience. The ideal candidate will have an AEC industry background with experience in project setup and billing processes, including cost plus and fixed fee models.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
