As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Customer Care and Purchasing Team. You will be primarily responsible for receiving vendor orders and ensuring smooth logistics operations.
Responsibilities
+ Answer phone calls and greet visitors.
+ Scan receiving documents for the quality system.
+ Enter data into the ERP database.
+ Assist office personnel with administrative and business needs.
+ Communicate and initiate correspondence with internal and external parties.
+ Perform various sales, purchasing, and inventory support functions.
+ Comply with applicable quality system procedures.
+ Receive, ship, export, and import goods, ensuring accuracy and quality.
+ Receive purchased materials into inventory using the ERP system and distribute them as needed.
+ Verify that the quantity and type of items match the packing list and check incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
+ Complete the required quality documentation for purchased materials and communicate with vendors regarding any issues.
+ Initiate correspondence with vendors for Certificates of Analysis (COAs) or missing packing lists.
+ Assist customer care with shipping out orders.
+ Help with customs clearance for international shipments both inbound and outbound.
+ Back up for creating purchase orders for select vendors.
+ Back up for scheduling FedEx pickups and creating waybills and export paperwork.
+ Work with the team to perform an annual inventory count.
+ Check and distribute paper mail and packages.
+ Perform other assigned responsibilities.
Essential Skills
+ Proficient in data entry and the Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Experience with shipping and receiving operations.
+ Strong customer service and logistics skills.
+ Knowledge of inventory control and administration.
+ Ability to handle import and export processes.
+ Comfortable lifting and moving items up to 40 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in transportation, freight, supply chain, and third-party logistics.
+ Familiarity with purchase orders, purchase requisitions, and bills of lading.
+ 1+ years of office experience and/or shipping/logistics experience.
Work Environment
The position is based in an office attached to a production space with a small administrative team of six people. The role requires being on-site five days a week, working 20 hours per week with flexible schedules available from 8am-12pm, 9am-1pm, or 10am-2pm. The company offers a tight-knit and supportive culture with opportunities for growth as the company plans to expand significantly over the next two years.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
