Job Title: Production Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate must be capable of operating machinery and using a forklift, as well as handling physical tasks such as lifting up to 45 lbs repetitively for 8 hours. This role involves pouring dry goods into a batch mixer, packaging containers, and using a forklift to move materials throughout the facility in hot and sticky conditions.

Responsibilities

+ Operate machinery and handle batch mixers to process dry goods.

+ Package containers and stock products on racks using a sit-down forklift.

+ Complete work orders and tasks as supplied daily.

+ Fill out the Sealing Room log sheet and submit it to the Production Foreman daily.

+ Inspect each block’s appearance and conduct weight spot checks before using the metal detector.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with batch mixers and racking systems

+ Ability to work in hot and cold environments based on outdoor conditions

+ Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes

+ Competence in managing dry powdered chocolate and licorice blocks

Work Environment

This is an industrial production environment operating from 7:00am-3:30pm or 7:30am-4:00pm in a non-climate controlled setting. The facility experiences varying temperatures and contains lots of dust from chocolate and licorice materials. Forklifts and batch mixers are integral to the operation, ensuring efficient movement and processing of products.

This is a position based out of Richmond, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
