Job Title: Sheet Metal Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team, specializing in the installation of commercial HVAC ductwork. This role involves working with spiral and square ductwork, rooftop units, ventilation systems, and fan installations, ensuring efficient ductwork insulation and overall system functionality.

Responsibilities

+ Install sheet metal components and commercial HVAC ductwork.

+ Work with spiral and square ductwork, including tin knocker, slip and drive ductwork.

+ Install and maintain rooftop units, ventilation systems, and fans.

+ Insulate ductwork and ensure efficient system operation.

+ Read and interpret ductwork blueprints for accurate installation.

+ Utilize hand tools and ensure adherence to safety protocols, including full PPE compliance.

Essential Skills

+ 5-10 years of HVAC sheet metal experience.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Proficiency in sheet metal installation and fabrication.

+ Expertise in ductwork installation and mechanical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ OSHA 30 certification.

+ Experience with duct work blueprints and spiral ductwork.

+ Capability to work with refrigerant copper lines and zoom lock crimping.

Work Environment

The work takes place in Suffolk county from Stony Brook to the Hamptons. The environment involves hanging ducts, managing air handling units, and working with slip and drive, as well as oval duct systems.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
