    General Production Worker

    Job Description

    Join our team as a General Production Worker where you will play a vital role in our production facility by cleaning mechanical pieces and maintaining our equipment. You will be working in a secured facility that produces security inks for currency, ensuring a clean and safe environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Lift and maneuver items weighing 50 pounds or heavier.

    + Rotate tubs in and out of the washing machine and inspect them.

    + Clean the tub room, including floors, walls, and any areas with ink.

    + Manually clean tubs as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to perform manual labor and heavy lifting.

    + General production and cleaning skills.

    + Basic mechanical skills, including the use of tape measures, rulers, and small hand tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Follow instructions from a written procedure.

    + Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

    + Ability to roll tubs weighing up to 2,000 pounds.

    + Ability to wear and use safety equipment.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a production facility that maintains high cleanliness standards due to the use of solvents. While the job involves exposure to an ink/paint smell, the environment is kept clean. This role can be very dirty, but it is essential for maintaining production quality. Shift details include 1st shift from 5AM to 1PM and 2nd shift from 1:00PM to 9:00PM, with potential weekend work. All shifts run from Monday to Friday.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, Virginia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
