Job Title: Welder - 1st and 2nd Shift Available

Job Description

Join a dynamic team specializing in the manufacturing of stainless steel tanks for the dairy industry. This position involves primarily MIG welding of stainless steel and aluminum, with opportunities to expand skills in TIG welding. Work on producing tanks in various positions, including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead, using Lincoln welders.

Responsibilities

+ Perform MIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum for tank production.

+ Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, bolt, custom fabricate, or grind materials to meet technical specifications.

+ Control fitting, burning, and welding processes to prevent overheating, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage of parts.

+ Read and comprehend basic prints and drawings.

+ Problem-solve fabrication tasks and execute overhead welding.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in MIG welding with over 3 years of experience.

+ Ability to weld any metals unsupervised using MIG and TIG techniques.

+ Skilled in blueprint reading and assembly fitting.

+ Experience in fabrication and problem-solving for tank production.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Capability to identify correct metals for orders and appropriate processes.

+ Efficiency in welding tasks at a rate of 95-100%.

+ Expertise in welding various metal thicknesses.

+ Ability to train and supervise individuals.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 5am to 3:30pm, with occasional mandatory shifts on Fridays. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beloit, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
