Job Title: Assembly Technician

Job Description

As an Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial role in producing components for hydraulic positioning equipment by expertly assembling parts and subassemblies. Your tasks will include reading, reviewing, and deciphering schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions, as well as testing and replacing failed equipment. You will position and align components and parts manually and with hoists, utilizing hand tools, power tools, or machines to complete assemblies.

Responsibilities

+ Assemble components and subassemblies for hydraulic positioning equipment.

+ Interpret and work from schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.

+ Test equipment and replace any failed components.

+ Manually and mechanically position and align components and parts.

+ Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery for assembly tasks.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in mechanical assembly.

+ Experience with power tools and hand tools.

+ Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and assembling mechanical equipment.

Work Environment

The assembly technician will work primarily on the floor in the fabrication shop, collaborating closely with other technicians and engineers.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Island, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
