Job Title: Process Set-up Technician
Job Description
As a Process Set-up Technician, you will have the opportunity to operate and manage all molds and injection molding machines. Your role will involve setting molds, starting up machines, and making minor repairs to ensure maximum productivity. You will also be responsible for understanding and maintaining molds, handling auxiliary equipment, and using various measuring devices to ensure quality parts.
Responsibilities
+ Operate all molds and injection molding machines efficiently.
+ Set molds, start up machines, and adjust them for optimal performance.
+ Conduct minor repairs to machines and equipment as needed.
+ Understand molds and prevent damage from improper handling.
+ Process and adjust auxiliary equipment such as foaming and robotic part picking machines.
+ Use gages and measuring devices to make machine adjustments ensuring quality parts.
+ Read and interpret engineering drawings related to plastic parts.
+ Perform maintenance on molds and supply necessary hand tools.
+ Ensure accurate counts of production and maintain records.
+ Utilize QAD MRP and Mattec production monitoring software.
+ Use CMMS software for maintenance support and work orders.
+ Report to the department foreman and ensure accurate performance of duties.
+ Observe safety rules and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
+ Implement organization and 5S responsibilities to enhance product flow and inventory tracking.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2 - 5 years of experience, especially in injection molding.
+ Lower pay rate for entry-level candidates.
Work Environment
The work environment offers positions on the 2nd and 3rd shifts, with hours from 2:45 PM to 11 PM and 10:45 PM to 7 AM. The atmosphere is laid-back and slower-paced, providing a less hectic experience compared to the automotive industry.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hendersonville, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
