    Job Title: Injection Mold Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Injection Mold Technician to join our team on the 3rd shift from 10:45 p.m. to 7 a.m. The role involves cleaning and inspecting injection molds, performing critical assembly operations, troubleshooting mold and die issues, and maintaining equipment records. You will work in a fast-paced environment, using your expertise to ensure the molds achieve designed objectives.

    Responsibilities

    + Clean and inspect injection molds, tools, and dies as part of the normal preventive maintenance process.

    + Perform final fitting operations on purchased or repaired components for proper assembly.

    + Conduct highly critical assembly operations, making necessary adjustments for the mold to meet designed objectives.

    + Maintain equipment maintenance and repair history records, detailing work performed, parts replaced, and labor hours.

    + Install or fabricate replacement components as needed.

    + Troubleshoot mold and die issues both in the shop and during current production.

    + Study specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions to determine materials required and machines needed to fabricate parts.

    + Compute dimensions, plan layout, and determine assembly method and sequence of operations.

    + Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders, verifying conformance of machined parts to specifications.

    + Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances.

    + Develop specifications from general descriptions for specialty tools and draw or sketch design of products.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in mold, tooling, welding, tool and die, and forklift operation.

    + Fabrication skills, including welding and metal working.

    + Past experience in tool and die and injection molding.

    + Laser welding experience.

    + Texture and grain repair experience.

    + Two-shot mold experience.

    + Proficiency in using tools and shop equipment such as grinders, belt sanders, bandsaws, drills, mills, and lathes.

    + Forklift operation experience.

    + Overhead crane experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with laser welding and texture and grain repair.

    + Expertise in two-shot mold processes.

    + Proficiency in various shop equipment and tools.

     

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a fast-paced environment during 3rd shift hours (10:45 p.m. to 7 a.m.). Safety is a priority, and you will be using various machines and tools to perform your tasks efficiently.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Covington, Georgia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr.
