    Job Title: HVAC Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    As an HVAC Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing residential and light commercial HVAC systems ranging from 1 to 15 tons. You will diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to electrical and mechanical components, perform routine maintenance and seasonal tune-ups, and read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. Effective communication with clients to explain issues and recommend solutions is crucial, as is ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal HVAC codes and safety standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Install, service, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems (1–15 tons).

    + Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues including electrical and mechanical components.

    + Perform routine maintenance and seasonal tune-ups.

    + Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

    + Communicate effectively with clients to explain issues and recommend solutions.

    + Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HVAC codes and safety standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, and mini-splits.

    + Working knowledge of basic electrical and control systems.

    + Customer service experience in a field service role.

    + Basic computer or tablet skills for work orders and scheduling.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or HVAC certification preferred.

    + EPA 608 Certification required (Type II or Universal).

    + Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Residential/Light Commercial HVAC service.

    + Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

    + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.

    + Familiarity with refrigerants, thermostats, air filters, belts, pulleys, and compressors.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Carrollton, Georgia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $76000.00 - $104000.00/yr.
