Job Title: Manual Machinist | 1st Shift
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team in a heavy industrial machine job shop/foundry environment. You will be responsible for manufacturing machined parts using manual machines such as lathes, Bridgeports, and radial arm drills. This position operates on the 1st shift from 7am to 3pm.
Responsibilities
+ Manufacture machined parts using manual machines.
+ Operate, set up, edit, and maintain machines.
+ Perform tool changes and create jigs, fixtures, or machine attachments as needed.
+ Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
+ Maintain tolerances using precision measuring tools.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 4 years experience in manual machining, particularly with lathes and Bridgeports.
+ Proficiency in reading blueprints.
+ Ability to perform machine setups, tool changes, and maintenance.
+ Experience with precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge of CNC machining, dimensional inspection, and GD&T.
+ Experience with horizontal boring mills and Swiss machines.
+ Familiarity with programming, setup, tool changes, and edits using Fanuc or conversational programming.

Work Environment
Join a union environment in a hot and heavy industrial setting. The plant is loud around certain areas but remains laid-back and not overly physical. Employees are exposed to moving mechanical parts, occasionally encountering wet or humid conditions, fumes, caustic chemicals, and extreme heat. The role requires physical demands such as standing, walking, using hands, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities include close and distance vision, color vision, and depth perception. Be prepared to work all shifts, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, with shift differentials.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $59779.00 - $59779.00/yr.
