    Job Title: Controls Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician to join our team in installing automated systems for HVAC. This role involves working with Building Automation Systems, ensuring precise installation, testing, and documentation of systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Install conduit and wiring for devices and controllers used in Building Automation Systems.

    + Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans.

    + Mount and connect control panels, sensors, actuators, and other field devices.

    + Coordinate with project managers and engineers to ensure installations meet design specifications.

    + Test and troubleshoot installed systems to verify proper operation.

    + Document work and maintain accurate records of installations and materials used.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with low-voltage electrical systems and control wiring.

    + Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.

    + Familiarity with HVAC systems and building controls.

    + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    + 2+ years of experience as a Controls Technician.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Automation, Troubleshooting, PLC programming, Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, Blueprint, Controls systems, Control system, Programming, Siemens PLC, Test, Configure, Install.

    + Experience with Building Automation Systems and HVAC Systems.

    + Leadership ability, Self-starter, Listening skills, Communication skills.

    + Own a car capable of driving 60-80 miles a day without issue.

    Work Environment

     

    This position involves working on commercial job sites across Nebraska, including Grand Island, Beatrice, Yutan, Omaha, and Norfolk. School projects are common, and the role requires travel to different locations, predominantly within 2 hours of Omaha. Expect a collaborative environment focused on innovation and quality.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, Nebraska.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
