Job Title: Construction Laborer

Job Description

The construction laborer role involves working on various construction projects, performing tasks such as demolition, loading/unloading, digging, and clean-up to support daily operations at a construction site. The position aims to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient construction site while contributing to the overall project. The working hours are from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime discussed per project.

Responsibilities

+ Perform general labor tasks including demolition, loading/unloading, digging, and clean-up.

+ Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient construction site.

+ Support daily operations and overall project goals.

+ Utilize various hand and power tools safely and effectively.

+ Speak upon and adhere to safety precautions in a construction environment.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of experience in a commercial or large residential job setting.

+ Ability to speak upon safety precautions in a construction environment.

+ Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.

+ Experience with concrete, carpentry, forklift, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, scissor lift, scaffolding, loading, lifting, tape measure, hammer, and saw.

+ OSHA 10 certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Familiarity with field concepts, practices, and procedures.

+ Ability to perform construction activities including usage of various power tools and small machinery.

+ Good interpersonal skills and team spirit.

+ Ability to work safely on projects.

+ Language skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals.

+ Reasoning ability: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

+ Reliable transportation method to get to and from work.

Work Environment

The work environment includes working outdoors in various weather conditions and near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally, the role requires working in high or precarious places and exposure to wet or humid conditions. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of the Kansas City Metro.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
