Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker to join our team in the paint department or other areas within our facility. In the paint department, you will operate machines to bend parts and hang them on hooks for painting. Your role will involve rotating positions with team members, removing completed parts, checking quality, packaging, and preparing items for shipping. Additionally, you may assist laser operators in unloading products, deburring machined items, and supporting warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
+ Work in various manufacturing cells with consistent speed and accuracy.
+ Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.
+ Maintain a clean and safe work area.
+ Perform light assembly tasks, including installing nuts and bolts on products.
+ Kit parts and hang them for the paint line.
+ Adhere to all safety guidelines and report any safety concerns to leadership.
+ Follow standard work procedures in each manufacturing cell to ensure quality production within safety guidelines.
+ Accurately fill out required paperwork for all produced items, including quantities, quality checks, and heat numbers.
+ Operate hand and power tools to assemble products.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in paint manufacturing and paint preparation.
+ General labor and production skills.
+ Machine operation proficiency.
+ Forklift operation and assembly skills.
+ Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Ability to read a tape measure is preferred.

Work Environment
The role requires working on the first shift from Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4pm, with mandatory overtime resulting in a 50-hour workweek (Monday to Friday). The facility is a smaller, well-organized shop with a close-knit, family-oriented culture, often described as having small-town vibes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winterset, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
