Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Maintenance Technician and bring your expertise in electrical and mechanical maintenance to our food production facility. Your role will involve ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment through effective troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance techniques.

Responsibilities

+ Perform mechanical maintenance of food production machinery.

+ Conduct machining, welding, carpentry, and painting tasks.

+ Utilize voltmeters to identify voltage, amperage, and resistance of electrical circuits.

+ Troubleshoot and calibrate control panels using relay logic and Cam-driven switch boxes.

+ Work with heat and humidity controls, process control valves, metal detection, inkjet coding systems, and packaging equipment.

+ Conduct electrical repairs and installations, including motor starters, run relays, VFDs, and servo motors.

+ Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, and replace filters.

+ Diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical problems using blueprints and repair manuals.

+ Record and report on damaged, worn, or broken parts.

+ Utilize CMMS systems for maintenance records and spare parts inventories.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in electrical and mechanical repair of equipment.

+ Experience with troubleshooting and repairing packaging equipment and conveyor systems.

+ Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

+ Strong experience in lockout/tagout procedures.

+ Minimum of 5+ years' experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment as a maintenance mechanic.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ SQF Certification (desirable).

+ Knowledge of GMP, USDA, FDA, OSHA regulations.

+ Experience with CMMS software.

+ Bilingual preferred (Spanish).

This is a Permanent position based out of Compton, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
