    Job Title: TIG Welder - 2nd Shift

    Job Description

    As a skilled TIG Welder, you will be responsible for performing MIG, TIG, and Arc welding techniques during the assembly process of diverse metal assemblies, ensuring compliance with customer drawing specifications and work order instructions.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Arc welding techniques for fabrications.

    + Ensure welding operations are executed according to established specifications, including production work orders and drawings.

    + Conduct quality and self-inspection using drawings, fixtures, jigs, and measuring tools.

    + Meet pre-established objectives both individually and as part of a team with limited supervision.

    + Ensure safety while handling parts and operating equipment to avoid damage.

    + Participate actively in new product introductions and suggest improvements for production and quality.

    + Maintain workplace cleanliness and organization.

    + Perform routine maintenance on welding machines as outlined in maintenance procedure manuals.

    + Keep the workplace safe and free of dangerous obstacles.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years' experience in MIG/TIG welding.

    + Experience in welding heavy steel and familiarity with stainless steel TIG welding.

    + Experience with new build and repair welds.

    + Blueprint reading skills.

    + Proficiency in TIG, Flux core, and FCAW welding.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED.

    + Manual dexterity.

    + Troubleshooting skills.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    + Adaptability to various situational changes.

    Work Environment

     

    This position is situated in a manufacturing setting with exposure to heavy equipment, machinery, and related noise levels. The role primarily involves standing for up to six hours per day, with occasional sitting for short periods. The ability to lift 0-50 lbs. in a proper ergonomic position is required.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Binghamton, New York.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
