    Job Title: Finish Carpenter

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled journeyman finish carpenter to join our team. This role involves constructing steel stud walls and completing interior finishing tasks such as trim work and acoustical ceilings. You will be responsible for the installation of specialized wood products, including cabinets, doors, windows, and trim. Additionally, you will work with ceiling grids and blueprints to ensure precision and quality in every project.

    Responsibilities

    + Construct steel stud walls.

    + Complete interior finishing tasks including trim work and acoustical ceilings.

    + Install specialized wood products such as cabinets, doors, windows, and trim.

    + Interpret and work from blueprints to ensure precision in projects.

    + Measure and cut materials to fit using a tape measure.

    + Utilize power tools for the installation of various components.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 3 years of experience in finish carpentry.

    + Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

    + Skilled in woodworking, cabinetry, window, and door installation.

    + Experience with trim carpentry including baseboards and crown molding.

    + Ability to use power tools effectively.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Commercial construction experience is a plus.

    + Strong understanding of construction processes and techniques.

    Work Environment

     

    This role is based in commercial buildings, with projects located approximately one hour from downtown. You will work Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays, totaling 40 to 50 hours per week. The position operates on a first shift schedule, starting between 6 AM and 7 AM and concluding between 3 PM and 4 PM, depending on the job site requirements.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
