1st Shift Shipping and Receiving Clerk $19/hour

Job Description

As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining inventory for a manufacturing company. You will be responsible for identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording their location, and pulling supplies based on production orders. Your duties will also include maintaining in-process inventory at work centers, documenting materials and supplies by recording units delivered and their locations, preparing finished stock for shipment, and maintaining material handling equipment. You will use hand pallet jacks to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

+ Maintain inventory for a manufacturing company.

+ Identify, label, and place materials and supplies in stock.

+ Record the location of inventory.

+ Locate and pull supplies based on production orders.

+ Maintain in-process inventory at work centers.

+ Document materials and supplies by recording units delivered and locations of units.

+ Prepare finished stock for shipment.

+ Maintain material handling equipment and perform pre-inspections.

+ Use hand pallet jacks.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs unassisted.

+ Manufacturing or industrial experience.

+ Proficiency in shipping, receiving, and material handling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous warehouse experience is preferred.

Work Environment

Work in a mid-size manufacturing company in the machine building space, characterized by a cleaner environment and an older building style feel. The company is expanding to add more space and runs a 4-10's schedule. Employees can wear tasteful shirts and shorts, jeans, etc., with no requirement for steel-toe shoes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hicksville, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
