    Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing facility in Washington, Pennsylvania. As part of a highly skilled team, you will play a critical role in ensuring equipment and systems are fully operational for continuous production and to consistently meet production goals.

    Responsibilities

    + Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a broad range of mechanical equipment including rolling mills, annealing furnaces, slitters, conveyors, and mechanical components such as hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, and power transmission systems.

    + Perform maintenance on cranes, forklifts, and other mobile equipment.

    + Learn manufacturing equipment/systems and maintenance programs quickly.

    + Troubleshoot issues and determine corrective actions to enhance production efficiencies without compromising quality.

    + Follow all safety practices and rules to ensure equipment is operating safely.

    + Perform preventive, predictive, and emergency electrical maintenance on various electrical and electronic systems.

    + Implement process improvements and methods to increase effectiveness and efficiencies.

    + Use standard and specialized tools and diagnostic equipment for assessment and troubleshooting.

    + Maintain accurate records of projects including machine assembly, start-up, and installation.

    + Participate in daily meetings to prioritize and review the daily schedule of work.

    + Operate forklifts, man lifts, cranes, etc.

    + Provide assistance in operating functions and areas.

    + Work in various plant areas, environmental conditions, and perform tasks at heights and in confined spaces.

    Essential Skills

    + 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.

    + Experience working with motors, controls, power supplies, and AC/DC theory.

    + Experience with power distribution, VFDs, and PLCs.

    + Troubleshooting skills.

    + Knowledge of hydraulics and preventive maintenance.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in maintenance repair and as a maintenance technician.

    + Ability to perform tasks such as installing piping, welding, rigging, and carpentry work.

    + Capability to perform miscellaneous repairs on floors, ceilings, windows/glass, doors, etc.

    + Competence in operating machinery and handling tools.

    Work Environment

     

    Our facility performs a variety of steel manufacturing procedures, featuring one of the world's most powerful mills in the Brackenridge plant. We focus on hot rolling and processing, manufacturing specialty sheets, rolled strips, and metal plates through melting, hot rolling, and slitting. The industrial work environment involves a rotating shift schedule every week, with shifts starting at 6 AM, 2 PM, and 10 PM. Employees may work 10-12 hour days, with overtime applicable after 8 hours. Shift differentials and production bonuses are offered.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $59072.00 - $110000.00/yr.
